If you choose to book a Purple Penguin Party character and also book a character from another company, that’s absolutely fine! I’m happy to work alongside other entertainers to make the party run smoothly – but it’s important we work together, not against each other. To make sure everything feels magical for the children, here are my terms:
When You Book a Party with Purple Penguin Party and Invite Another Company
- We must coordinate – Both companies should communicate and agree on the flow of the party. This avoids clashes or confusion during games, dances, and activities.
- Characters should acknowledge each other – Imagine going to a theme park and seeing two characters ignore one another – it breaks the magic. With my drama and theatre background, I always interact with other characters and expect the same in return. If the other company is less confident with improvisation, I’m happy to guide the interaction so it feels natural and fun.
- Shared photos – To avoid turning your party into a long photo queue, it works best to take pictures with both characters together. This creates magical memories and leaves more time for fun and games.
- Inclusion in activities – When running games or dances, I will always invite the other character(s) to join in, and would expect the same in return. Splitting children between two entertainers DOES NOT WORK.
What Doesn’t Work
- One entertainer ignoring the other during activities.
- Running separate, unconnected sections where children feel divided between “them” and “us.”
- Characters refusing to interact, which spoils the atmosphere.
What Does Work
- Teamwork – A quick chat before the entrance makes all the difference. We can plan who introduces who, what games we’ll each run, and how we can complement each other’s sets.
- Joint games and dances – Keeping activities inclusive and collaborative makes the experience more magical.
- Flexible photos – Group photos with both characters together, plus a few solo shots if parents want them, ensures efficiency and happy children.
Ultimately, the goal is to give your child and their guests the most magical, stress-free experience possible. With communication and teamwork, having more than one company at your party can work brilliantly.
